MAINTENANCE WORKER

We are a non-profit agency based in Millbrook, NY responsible for ensuring that all residents are cared for, that their needs are understood, that their preferences are followed, and that their rights are protected.
Maintain the building and grounds which includes painting, minor repairs, lawn care, installation of fixtures, window replacement, etc. This is a full-time non-exempt position scheduled 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday (8:00am – 4:30pm).
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform regular and special building maintenance jobs
- Ability to make minor repairs
- Two years working in maintenance preferred
- Ability to work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Ability to work off-hours for snow removal as needed
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills preferred
Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for painting, along with assigned maintenance duties.
- Perform any duties of a maintenance related nature as requested by Maintenance Supervisor
- Transporting agency vehicles for maintenance and repair
- Responsible for all snow removal
- Complete assignments in a timely manner.
