Hayes Home provides residential care and treatment for young
people who are developmentally disabled.
Primarily serving the Mid-Hudson region of New York
State, with some admissions from the New York metropolitan
area, CHH gives equal consideration to children from all
races, creeds and socio-economic backgrounds.
The children and young
adults who reside at the Home are multi-handicapped with a
primary diagnosis of intellectual disability.
Some are autistic, others have cerebral palsy,
epilepsy or neurological impairment.
The agency can provide care for children who are
medically fragile if their special health needs are
secondary to their intellectual disability.
There is 24-hour staffing on the Millbrook campus and
in the community homes.
Currently operating at capacity with one hundred ten
young people in residence, the agency maintains a wait list.
We accept children who
are:
-
age 16 and under at
time of admission
-
ambulatory and
non-ambulatory
-
medically fragile,
but stable
-
tube-fed or on
special diets
-
in need of ICF level
of care placement
We
are not able to accept children:
