Administration

Cardinal Hayes Home is sponsored by Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM), a Roman Catholic order of women. The Corporation (Cardinal Hayes Home for Children at Millbrook, New York) is composed of five FMM: Sister Lois Pereira, Sister Patricia Barrett, Sister Loan Nguyen, Sister Pauline Gilmore, Sister Nzenzili Mboma. Mr. Fred Apers is Executive Director, having been appointed by the Corporation in 1976.

A Board of Directors, on which seventeen people serve, meets four times a year. These Directors, through their expertise in a variety of fields, provide guidance and counsel to agency administration. Included on the Board are professionals with backgrounds in banking and other areas of business, religion, teaching, social work, nursing, and human resources. Parents of a Cardinal Hayes resident also serve on the Board.
